If ever an old building had an interesting life it is this one. It once was the Murchison Hotel. During WW2, George & Frances Coote were the publicans, this was around the 1940s. They ran a family business run with lots of love for the locals. It has been whispered that at some stage the pub was a brothel and the upstairs rooms housed prostitutes. That might have been rumour.
It is now a well tended private residence.
